On December 28th 2017, the Nufront EUHT-5G technology has been applied in Guangzhou metro Line 14 Knowledge City branch. It means that the EUHT-5G technology which was independently developed by China has overcome key technical challenges of 5G technology. Especially in the most difficult application scenarios of ultra-high reliability and low time delay (uRLLC), China is already at the leading level of the world.
China’s 5G technology which can be used in scenarios with ultra-high reliability and ultra-low time delay has reached the world’s leading level. The journalist of Economic Information Daily reported that Guangzhou metro Line 14 Knowledge City branch realized the real-time transmission of 30-channel HD video in single train for the first time in the world. It is reported that Guangzhou metro achieved this technological breakthrough because of the strong support of Guangdong government, in addition, they used the new generation of wireless communication technology-Enhanced Ultra High Throughput (EUHT) technology from Guangzhou Nufront.
On December 28th, Guangzhou metro Line 9, Line 13, south part of Line 4 and Line 14 Knowledge City branch were opened and began to operate. The journalist of THE PAPER noticed that 24 HD cameras were installed in Line 14 metro and 3HD cameras were installed in the driver’s cab, which realized the real-time monitoring in the metro.
The EUHT system of Guangzhou Metro Knowledge City branch was online and put into commercial use. It realized the whole carriage real-time monitoring of 30-channel HD video in single train for the first time in the world. 24 HD cameras were installed in Line 14 metro, and 3HD cameras were installed in the driver’s cab. No matter in the peak time or off-peak time, the real-time monitoring video can be transmitted directly to the metro control center and the police station. It will be safer for passengers to take Line 14.
