In the era of 5G, the telecommunication giants finally realized the importance of the industrial market and began to study the wireless communication technology with high reliability and low delay.
However, it will take a long time from system design, research and development to deployment and application for a new communication technology, especially in the field of industrial wireless communication technology.
As a system and chip designer, Nufront independently designed the mobile TV broadcasting system (t-mmb) at the beginning of the establishment of the company, and then successfully mass produced lots kind of SoC, such as WiFi, Bluetooth, GSM/WCDMA, LTE and so on. It can be said that Nufront made almost all kinds of communication chips.
The vice president of Nufront, Lei Jun said “ Along with further research work, we found that there are various problems with the existing wireless communication system, such as insufficient support for the ultra high speed mobile equipment and large user’s usage. The founder of the company had deep technical accumulation and keen foresight, so he decided to design a new wireless communication system.”
The founder of Nufront is a scientist with strong technical complex, at the beginning of the establishment of the company he put forward to be a pioneer in this filed. In 2006, relying on the profound technology accumulation and keen insight, Nufront began to research and develop EUHT (Enhanced Ultra High Throughput) with high reliability, low latency, ultra-wide band and large capacity.
According to the introduction of Lei Jun, the development of EUHT technology was supported by National Science and Technology Major Project. In addition, in the most difficult period, Nufront have also received great help from the government, academicians and experts. Whenever the development entered the bottleneck, the founder of the company would work together with the R&D team to tackle the problem. In this way, the efficiency of Nufront was far higher than that of other companies. After ten years' practice, EUHT finally entered the stage of large-scale commercial application in 2016.
Lei Jun said, "The research and development of EUHT is more than 10 years ahead of 5G URLLC , and many core technologies such as key system parameters and self-contained frame structure in EUHT are also used in 5G. It can be said that EUHT is a very forward-looking technology.” More importantly, Nufront has independently designed the full range of EUHT core chips, including digital baseband, analog front-end, radio frequency transceiver and so on. At present, a complete series of products including three generations of chips have been formed.
